Have you ever acquainted with the feeling when you desperately want to forget something or someone .Most of the time its due to failed love life or some other emotional set back. What if science gives you an option to delete all those memories which troubles you. One can remove memories of his diseased child or unrequited lover.
Movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" gives you such privilege , When Clementine(Kate Winslet) erased all her memories of his lover Joel(Jim Kerry) . Learning this fact Joel in distraught too decided to erase Clemetine from his memories . During erasure procedure Joel finds that he doesn't want to erase the happy memories of Clementine but he couldn't communicate this to the Dr.Mierzwiak.And all the memories get erased from his mind. The climax of the movie was when Dr.'s receptionist mailed all the files and memoirs to the clients. Joel and Clementine both discover their tapes in the mail, and listen to them, painfully, in each other’s presence. In the final scene they decide, in spite of the hurtful things said about each other, to give the relationship a chance.
The title of the movie was taken from Eloisa to Aberald by Alexander Pope:
How happy is the blameless Vestal’s lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot;
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray’r accepted, and each wish resign’d.
It was a good movie worthy of watching for its different story and difficult storytelling.
